Former Forever Beta leadership team launches a new creative shop: Fearless Union.

Launched with three founding clients - Peperami, Big Issue and Hospitality Rising - the agency will be run by Alan Fayolle (lead partner), Mark Campion (creative partner), Darren Cox (design partner) and Patrick Flynn (managing director).

River Group’s founder and CEO Nicki Murphy also joins Fearless Union as chair, while Rick Kumar, director and founder of MODA Consult Group, will advise on talent strategy.

On discovering that Forever Beta was in the process of appointing a liquidator and the employment contracts of staff had been terminated, the remaining leadership team (the eventual Fearless Union founders) worked hard to ensure staff were looked after and where possible, clients were not let down. The commitment of the team to ensuring clients’ interests were protected – notwithstanding the uncertainty of the situation – has been repaid in trust and confidence by these businesses. They have gone on to become Fearless Union’s founding clients.

The agency was founded on a single guiding principle: the fearless pursuit to find the right solution. Rooted in the belief that traditional ways of working don’t guarantee the best results and that the right solution is different for everyone – clients and creators alike – this means listening closely; really understanding what’s being asked; establishing meaningful connections with the right individuals; and fostering an open-minded culture that welcomes both innovative ideas and ways of working.

Alan Fayolle, lead partner, Fearless Union said: “This agency is a product of the times, both in its genesis and approach to how it does things. It feels like this is a good time to try and do things differently. Our responsiveness and flexibility under the most challenging of circumstances delivered us three enviable founding clients and we really couldn’t hope for a better start. A big thank you to them for their faith and trust. To have Nicki come in as our Chair is also huge for us; anyone who knows Nicki, knows she is a force to be reckoned with. I can't think of a more impressive resume: her entrepreneurial endeavours, new business, and growth record all speak for themselves. I’m excited to finally work with her.”

Nicki Murphy, chair, Fearless Union said: “I'm proud to be appointed Chair of Fearless Union. To build a brilliant company, you first need a brilliant team. We have one - with big ambition too - and an enviable client list to boot. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Zoe Hayward, group chief marketing officer, Big Issue said: “When I look for an agency, I look for talent, results and commitment. This team has helped deliver some impressive results for the Big Issue Group and multiple awards, including a Cannes’ Lion for the “I’m here” campaign. The transition has been seamless and their commitment second to none. I look forward to seeing what's next for the Big Issue Group and Fearless Union.”

Emily Prince, head of brand, Peperami said: "We're thrilled to be one of Fearless Union’s founding clients. This year has been a struggle for so many, but the passion and dedication shown by this team to turn that into something positive is truly remarkable. We brought this talented team on board largely because they’re trying to do things differently, and that suits us down to the ground - especially as it means we can all focus on taking Peperami to new heights.”
