Brighton-based studio works with ZAK and Another on 3D animated films
Brighton-based creative studio Bolder has been appointed by production company Another to produce 3D tech films for the launch of New Balance’s latest football boots. Working via New Balance’s global creative agency ZAK, the 3D animation films form part of a wider campaign including six live action brand films.

The creative themes are ‘Unstoppable’ for Furon; (Furon 4.0 is designed for attackers who finish without mercy), emphasising the boots characteristics which enable speed, acceleration and accuracy for a cleaner strike and deadly finish in front of goal. The Tekela theme is ‘Untouchable’ (Tekela is for the innovators who use speed and manoeuvrability to change the outcome of  games) demonstrating agility, control and acceleration. The six brand films show players bringing the themes to life through live action and the tech films focus on the boot’s high-tech benefits.

Overseeing all creative production, Another produced the live action brand films which were shot over two days in London. The director was Mike Fisher who worked with Bolder to design the VFX, audio and handle post production. Bolder’s tech films are entirely 3D animation with sound design.

All content will be used across digital and social platforms and launch this month.

Matt Bennett, executive creative director of ZAK, said: “We’re really happy with how all our partners have come together and created a beautiful and effective series of brand films and glorious 3D tech films for these fantastic A/W 18 boots.
