Music+Sound Awards 2017 Announces Global Call for Entries

This week the Music+Sound Awards opened for 2017 global entries.  Celebrating creative excellence in advertising music and sound, they present awards for best original composition, best sound design, best sync, best re-records and best use of production music in 35 categories.

Six years ago the Awards were formed to establish a global standard of excellence in advertising music and sound, and to recognise those who create, source, license and commission it.  

Jury member, Anthony Moore, founder of Factory Studios in London, talks about what the competition means to the industry: “The Music and Sound Awards are a fantastic showcase for our craft and the many talented people who work within it. Sound design and music are an integral element to any piece of creative work and MAS allows the many facets of audio post-production to be truly celebrated. MAS is always judged by relevant figures who work in our industry, people who really know their stuff. So to win one... well, that's pretty big!”

A 30+ strong judging panel of esteemed industry authorities from around the world will meticulously assess each entry in May. The panel, including Head of Production at BBH London, Charlie Gatsky, Director of Music at Energy BBDO, Chicago, Daniel Kuypers, and Music Producer at JWT, New York, Dan Burt, will determine the best and brightest and enable the global recognition and accolade they deserve.

The Music+Sound Awards continue to proudly support Nordoff Robbins, the music therapy charity, with £5 from each submission going to this life-changing charity.
