Music video director duo Cliqua (RJ Sanchez & Pasqual Gutierrez), of Whitelist, will be featured on the next instalment of Music Video Night, a showcase celebrating the art of the video with some of its most inspiring creatives.
Part of the showcase’s now virtual series, the live 60-minute interactive discussion and screening will stream on Zoom on Thursday, May 7th at 5PM PST. Cliqua will chat with host Gregg Kaysen, of Mass Appeal, about the making of some of the duo’s most iconic videos including Cuco ‘Keeping Tabs,’ Travis Scott ‘Beibs in the Trap,’ Rosalia ‘YOXTITUXMI,’ and their most recent project, ‘Bichiyal’ for Bad Bunny.
Music Video Night launched in 2016 and has held events around the country at spaces such as The Annenberg Space for Photography, MoMA NY, and Brooklyn Museum. The series has featured directors, choreographers, stylists, producers, artists, and DJs, from legends to emerging stars. In response to social distancing, Music Video Night went virtual in March as a way to maintain its community and continue recognising important creatives during the quarantine. Since going virtual, Music Video Night has featured multi-faceted director/production designer Day Hernandez, hip-hop fine artist, graffiti veteran, emcee, DJ Bisco Smith, and mastermind Omar Jones, among others.
