2Pears, the team delivering events and networking for creative and startup companies in tech, music and media, are announcing the details of the second MUSIC techpitch 4.5 taking place on 27 March, 6.30pm, at EMI’s headquarters in Kensington.
MUSIC techpitch 4.5, an evening pitch event created by 2Pears in partnership with EMI Music, will showcase some of the latest music-tech startups in Europe, including some which have taken part in the UKTI pitch-training workshops in the past 9 months. The purpose of MUSIC techpitch 4.5 is to provide music-tech startups with a platform to build awareness, gain investment and users in an environment where they can present to and network with industry experts and potential partners.
The winner of MUSIC techpitch 4.5 will get the opportunity to participate in an investment meeting arranged by Par Equity, the largest investment network in Scotland, in order to discuss potential investment opportunities.
The evening will feature a keynote by Andria Vidler, CEO EMI Music UK & Ireland, discussing what EMI has learnt from its culture, heritage and people to define its approach to innovation. Following the keynote, eight music-tech startups will present their business ideas and revenue models during a three-minute pitch followed by a five minute Q&A by a panel of judges. MUSIC techpitch 4.5 will be chaired by Danvers Baillieu, co-founder of Bootlaw and senior associate with law firm Pinsent Masons
The panel of judges will discuss the viability, growth potential and revenue model of each business idea, providing constructive feedback on both the business model and the pitch. A winner will be selected by both the judges and by an audience vote.
The pitching, feedback session, and judging will be followed by networking and drinks, courtesy of EMI Music.
