Monks Milan has developed a campaign for Mundys, the safe, sustainable, seamless and smart mobility business, that continues the narrative that began with its previous campaign "The Line." After traversing Europe and travelling to Chile to collect stories from passengers worldwide, using photography as the primary storytelling tool, this new phase spotlights music as the sounding board for Mundys' values and vision. As an International Group, Mundys manages infrastructure, airports, highways, and mobility services through its asset companies.
Travelling makes us better people. Allowing each journey to be the best it can be, always following that "Improve Moving Life" as a concrete mission to believe in and identify with is a core reason for being at Mundys. Everyday we move through different places, in both large and small journeys, leaving our stories in our wake.
"Connections" is a new step in Mundys' storytelling of its own infrastructure. It is an original and unpublished musical piece that interprets the values and messages of Mundys, creating something new, in a hybrid of storytelling and artistic creation.
The author of the song is the band Barkee Bay, composed of Giulio Barchi (songwriter and guitarist), Davide Tarragoni (producer), and Gabriele Consiglio (guitarist and producer). Their music is free, fresh, spontaneous, and sincere, "sustainable" because it is inspired by nature and linked to the region.
"Connections" recounts how travelling shortens distances, unites cultures, and connects people. The protagonists of the song are everyday passengers who move for work, love, personal growth, and to reach future destinations. There is no single way to travel; there are as many different ways as there are hues to our personalities. Travelling teaches us that our place in the world can be in many different locations. And every journey increases our awareness.
Monks has overseen the entire genesis of this operation, through the production of the video. Not a corporate or institutional video, and not a commercial or even a music video, "Connections'' is more than something that unites different souls of the project: footage of a journey truly documented and experienced by the band and footage specifically created at Rome Fiumicino Airport.
A manifest video that is set to music that inspires the pillars that Mundys identifies with and that directs eyes toward the future.
"Turn up the volume and reduce emissions."
"We are particularly proud of this project because it brings together the diverse aspects of Monks Milan in a collaborative effort perfectly aligned in values and objectives with Mundys. 'Connessioni' is much more than a musical piece and marks the culmination of a year of operations and activations that have taken us to Chile and across Europe. It is yet another affirmation of how, regardless of the product or brand, the client's strategy, creativity, and desire to innovate are the driving forces behind bringing such compelling creative projects to light." said Felice Arborea, head of content, Monks Milan.
