Pioneer's successful applicants will be offered a six month paid role and receive on the job training in the industry

m/SIX, one of the most dynamic, entrepreneurial and innovative media agencies in the world, today announces the launch of Pioneers its expanded talent scheme that aims to find,  and integrate, a number of diverse individuals into the business.

Successful applicants will be offered an initial six-month paid role where they’ll receive world class on-the-job training, which will set them up for future success in the industry. Each Pioneer will get to know the inner workings of m/SIX. They’ll see first-hand how the agency operates, how to solve problems for clients and how m/SIX collaborates in a way that breeds success. To ensure each candidate is given all they need to showcase  their talent(s), they’ll be provided with a buddy and mentor to help shape, guide and support them  throughout.

Matt Jordan, head of people, UK & EMEA said: “We wanted to create a scheme that would be open – and  attractive - to people from all backgrounds and walks of life. We’ve ripped up the traditional process rule book  so there’s no educational requirements, no upper age limit, no need to submit a CV and we’re not asking for  first/ second names. What’s really important is passion, energy and an enthusiasm to learn. It’s an exciting  time for m/SIX and we can’t wait to find the right Pioneers to come with us on the journey.”

Jack Swayne, CEO, m/SIX UK & EMEA said: "This is not the way we have hired before. It will be very different,  and that is exactly what is needed. We are excited to find talent that we may have never considered before, as  well as talent that may have never considered us before. I cannot wait to welcome a new injection of talent  into m/SIX.”

If you want to apply to be part of the Pioneers programme please go to https://pioneers.msixagency.com for  more information. The closing date for applications is Friday 13th November 2020 at 10pm GMT. The only  prerequisite required is that you must be over the age of 18 and have the right to live/work in the UK.

The application process is across three stages:

1. Video submission to explain why they should be considered and how they have been pioneering 2. Response to a specific brief designed to test and challenge thinking

3. Virtual meeting with some of the m/SIX team ahead of a group exercise to showcase  collaboration and team skills.

m/SIX Pioneers is supported by programme partners The Princes Trust, Ambitious About Autism, Facebook,  and the Mayor's Fund for London.

Kirsty McHugh, chief executive, Mayor’s Fund for London said: “We are delighted to support the m/SIX  Pioneers Programme which helps to get talent back on track by offering insightful opportunities and  encourages diversity and inclusion in the workforce. We have seen that young people, particularly those from  minority and disadvantaged backgrounds in London, are being disproportionately impacted by Covid-19, with  many missing out on several months of education and careers support at a crucial point in their lives; so, this  initiative is very timely. If we are to stand a fighting chance of bouncing back from this pandemic, young people  must be at the heart of our efforts and they should receive equal access to all the opportunities they need to  fulfil their potential, no matter their background.”

Vicky Yorke, innovation lead for The Prince’s Trust, said: "The Prince's Trust has been promoting the  importance of helping young people develop their skills through the many programmes and financial support  that we offer, and through the help of our partners’; such as m/SIX's Pioneers scheme. We're excited to work  with such a forward-thinking agency who is eager to address diversity and inclusion in the future talent of the  agency, and utilising their pioneering spirit in innovative ways to find them.”

m/SIX is a progressive and entrepreneurial international media network that was born digital. With over 40  offices worldwide, m/SIX is backed by WPP, the world’s largest communications agency network, and  embraces a unique ownership structure between The&Partnership and GroupM. m/SIX specialises in driving  commercial, as well as audience growth, in today’s data and tech-led media landscape, and is an industry  leader in transparency, martech and next-generation audience insight.
