MRY Announces UK Management Line-Up
MRY has announced its new UK management line-up, headed up by Managing Director Nadya Powell.
Part of the DigitasLBi family, it has already picked up a number of major clients.
MRY exists to give brands a purpose in people’s lives – a reason for the conversation to begin, something it calls ‘making brands remarkable’.
The ‘born social’ agency’s unique 360 degree approach to social means that it provides clients with the full range of services including everything from strategy to campaign management, media planning and KPI frameworks.
The UK agency is led by Managing Director Nadya Powell, who was previously Client Partner & Chief Innovation Officer at Dare. Powell is a regular speaker and writer on innovation and is the co-founder of Innovation Social.
Powell is joined by DigitasLBi’s former Head of Communications Strategy, Alex Jeffries, who now becomes Strategy Partner for MRY with responsibility for developing the agency’s strategic offering. Jeffries began his career at at CIA Medianetwork before becoming one of PHD Media’s first digital strategists. He then ran the media and planning departments at Profero, was an engagement planner at BBH and, before joining DigitasLBi, was Head of Digital at CHI & Partners’ full service media agency, MCHI.
Former DigitasLBi Creative Directors Gav Gordon-Rogers and Gemma Butler join MRY as Creative Directors.. In their previous roles as Creative Directors of Agency Republic they helped the agency to win multiple awards and Digital Agency of the Year accolades. Gordon-Rogers was Interactive Creative Director of Wieden & Kennedy London before reuniting with Butler to join DigitasLBi in January 2012.
Jacqui Pennington has been appointed as Client Services Partner with overall responsibility for client service at MRY. Formerly a Client Director at DigitasLBi, Pennington has previously held client-facing roles at major digital shops AKQA and Agency Republic.
Darcie Tanner, who was previously Head of Social Media Management, EMEA at DigitasLBi, becomes MRY’s Head of Social Operations, with responsibility for social organisational set up and process, as well as social platforms and technology partnerships. At DigitasLBi, Tanner led a team of social platform and community managers, focusing on technology, community management and best practice for national and international clients.
Ashley Kenerson, who joined DigitasLBi in 2006, now becomes Head of Insights for both MRY and DigitasLBi, with the goal of putting insight and social data at the centre of the agency’s offering. Kenerson has extensive experience of delivering transformational insight-driven strategies with a focus on data visualisation and stories.
Because of its relationship with global marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi, MRY also has access to the world’s smartest data scientists, technology gurus, creative craftsmen, user experience specialists and mobile experts.
