mono, a Minneapolis-based creative agency, today announced the hires of Meg Farquhar, Joanne Torres and Jeremy Claud as Creatives, effective immediately. They join the creative team in leading the development of the innovative, breakthrough work that clients and the industry have come to expect from mono.
The hires come during a time of tremendous growth for mono and will work on long-time accounts like Apple, MSNBC and USA Network, as well as more recent wins like lucy Activewear, Honeywell and Target. While mono frequently hires from the Minneapolis area and is a great supporter of the local creative community, all three hires hail from outside of the city – Sao Paulo, Chicago and San Francisco – bringing new talent to Minneapolis.
“Meg, Joanne and Jeremy are all fantastic creatives who have worked across many different leading brands and created inventive, impactful work throughout their careers,” said Michael Hart, co-founder and creative co-chair at mono. “We are excited to be attracting such incredible talent to mono from around the country and the globe.”
Farquhar joins mono with experience working across countries and cultures. Prior to mono, Farquhar worked at Ogilvy & Mather in Brazil and then Singapore, as well as at Ogilvy-offshoot David in São Paulo. Farquhar earned her creative stripes working on such leading brands as Coca-Cola, Burger King, Unilever and Kraft, and her work has been recognized with numerous awards including Clios, Cannes Lions and a Gold One Show Pencil, to name a few.
Torres comes to mono from agency Eleven in San Francisco, where she spent the last five years working on accounts like Apple and Virgin America. Torres started her career in the accounting department at Eleven, but quickly made the switch to creative where her passion for creative and talent for writing fast set her apart. While at Eleven, Torres helped create a number of innovative campaigns like “Experience Virgin America" and "Departure Date" for Virgin – the first feature film to be fully shot and edited 30,000 feet in the air.
Claud – an award-winning writer – comes to mono after spending time at AKQA, San Francisco and Leo Burnett, Chicago. Claud’s particular interest in fashion and digital platforms shows in inventive work that has included the “Reindeer Project” for Gap’s Holiday push several years back and spearheading "styld.by” for Gap – a project that involved completely reinventing Gap’s digital catalog.
