Mickey Smith's 'Dark Side of The Lens'...

Independent's recent signing Mickey Smith's has found fame with his autobiographical film 'Dark Side Of The Lens' at the Young Directors Showcase in Cannes this year.

The films received an amazing response from the packed out crowd within the Festival Palais.

Mickey has previously worked as a DOP and underwater photographer since the age of 16 and consequently, has turned his hand and eye to directing.

Recently working on the second unit for 'Snow White and the Huntsman' with Rupert Saunders. He made the film for his sister Cherry and her two sons. Mickey's beautifully poetics words, stunning imagery and haunting score make this a beautiful film.
