BarkleyOKRP launches faux reality show starring real ex-reality show cast members

A new initiative from BarkleyOKRP for Metro by T-Mobile sends up the reality dating genre through the creation of an original reality dating 'series' with all the usual love interests, squabbles and deception found on these shows with a devoted fan base. But instead of it being brought to you by Netflix or Peacock, this new episodic show surprisingly comes from Metro by T-Mobile and will be seen across paid social and broadcast channels airing alongside traditional reality shows.

Nada Yada Island, a faux reality show airs with real ex-reality show cast members such as Jess Vestal, Lauren Speed-Hamilton, Marco Donatelli, among others, who air their grievances about their past toxic ex [phone carriers]. This series continues to speak to Metro’s latest plan, Metro Flex and follows the success of several well received commercials and a full social push that garnered +33% organic social ER compared to prior campaigns.

Metro Flex is a plan dedicated to ridding yada from the wireless category by ensuring that you are never treated like old news when you are no longer a new customer, giving all customers free phones when they join and the same great deals.

The five-episode series was shot by Oscar-winning production company Caviar. Featuring actual reality show stars from shows like Love Is Blind, Love Island and La Casa de Los Famosos, and shot by three Caviar directors, Jason Woliner, the talent behind Borat 2, and Peacock’s Paul T. Goldman, alongside Michael Food, and Ana Fabrega, the showrunner of Los Espookys. It was filmed in true reality-style, with 20 hidden cameras to capture an authentic reality vibe.

With all the bombshells, fights, scandals, and drama of real dating shows, this branded content blurs the line between entertainment and advertising, making it indistinguishable from actual reality dating shows.

Nada Yada Island will be airing on paid digital and broadcast channels during reality dating show programming beginning the week of September 9th.
