The agency climbed to second place in the competition for the first time in 30 years

McCann Leads Chevrolet to Most Gold Awarded Brand in Festival Círculo de Oro

A great result was obtained by McCann México in the local festival Círculo de Oro, organised by the Círculo Creativo of the country, where it led Chevrolet to become the most gold awarded brand in this festival, gathering 11 awards of this kind thanks to campaigns such as The Invisible Influencers, The Ultimate Backpack and The Electric Hero, which also obtained a Grand Prix.

Likewise, the agency reached an unprecedented situation since the beginning of the event, being second position with work also done for Sodimac, L’Oréal, and Huawei.

Alfredo Alquicira, executive creative director of the office, and Luis González, VP creative, highlighted that: “in total we got 51 shortlists and we won 42 awards: 1 Grand Prix, 17 gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze, this speaks volumes for our effectiveness of the office and the level of the pieces of work we have presented”.

While Luis Machorro, managing director of McCann México, expressed that: “we are pleased and proud that the work that we do for important brands has yield great results in this local creative festival. It is noteworthy that the categories in which we were recognised are those which are the most important to our clients: Digital, Activations, Innovation, Data Mining, etc. Categories with a technological and data component”.

McCann recalled that in the case of Invisible Influencers, Chevrolet Sales increased in 145% while with Electric Hero (idea executed during fuel shortage in the nation), reached 43 million of drivers helping them to find gas stations with #ReporteGas without spending a single drop of fuel with the Bolt EV car, which travelled 383 kilometers with one fuel load.
