McCann Birmingham announced today the formation of a new Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The team of eight will focus on accelerating growth, delivering a range of effective solutions to clients and championing talent development.
Together, the team covers a range of disciplines from branding to media, PR and social to creative. Five new roles have been created with each addressing a core area of the 200-strong creative community.
Jo Jacques, formerly managing partner, has taken on the role of head of business leadership. Jacques will continue to be a trusted advisor to clients and help shape the agency’s culture.
Amy Kiernan is now head of agency development and integration having previously held the position of managing partner. She will be focusing her efforts on agency growth and development.
Ollie Dew has been promoted to head of operations from operations director. Ollie’s role will be centred around increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
Ruepal Aujla and Lisa Barrett complete the set of promotions as joint heads of UM Birmingham. This follows the recent promotion of Kevin Murphy from managing director, media to group managing director, media.
The SLT is completed with Sophie Hewitt, existing managing director of PR and social, and Adam Bodfish, executive creative director. The group brings a wealth of experience, insight and knowledge having collectively spent nearly ninety years at McCann.
The evolution of the senior leadership team follows the appointment of Chris Falconer who joined the agency as Group Managing Director in July 2022.
Chris Falconer, group managing director at McCann Birmingham, said: “As part of the UK’s #1 creative community, we’re centred around a group of naturally integrated specialists producing the most effective work possible for our clients. The new Senior Leadership Team is the perfect personification of this vision, a group of hugely talented individuals passionate about the success of our clients, agency, and people. I’m incredibly lucky to be able to call on a team with such depth and breadth of experience and am extremely excited about our collective future.”
