MassiveMusic Warsaw, the Polish branch of the agency of record for some of the leading brands in the world, has promoted Mateusz Szmigiero to creative director.
Mateusz joined the Warsaw team as senior music creative back in November 2021, when the company opened its then 7th office in the capital of Poland.
In this new role, he will oversee and direct the creative process and work closely with music producers and composers to ensure MassiveMusic delivers stellar music that lives up to or exceeds the expectations of its clients.
Before joining MassiveMusic, he worked as account manager and content designer in advertising agencies, and as music supervisor and producer at CORD Warsaw and Big Sync Music. A well-experienced music supervisor and music producer, he has worked with global brands such as Škoda, T-Mobile and Ferrero.
Among other things, Mateusz was in charge of local and international audio branding projects including the sonic brand identity for Audioteka and ZEN.com. He also worked on award-winning projects such as ‘Around The Touch’ (KTR Awards), Fundacja Onkologiczna Rakiety’s ‘Houston mamy procent… do zebrania’ (MASA Awards) and ‘I am a woman’ by YES which recently scooped four Effies, including the Grand Prix.
After working hours, Mateusz wears a superhero cape and, under his stage name Fau, spins the decks and produces electronic music. With many years of experience in clubs and radio broadcasts, he’s also a co-host of an Evening Selection radio show focussed on deep electronic music.
He says, “I was always charmed by the power of music and how sound emphasises emotions. The magic of sound is fascinating to me both as a music producer and as a regular listener. Having all of these different perspectives helps me understand how to help brands from a music standpoint so I can advise them on finding a sonic DNA that feels aligned with their mission. With a team of such incredibly talented people at MassiveMusic Warsaw, I’m looking forward to helping brands stay true to themselves while tapping into cultural relevance.”
Michał Krajewski, executive creative director at MassiveMusic Warsaw, adds, “Being a creative music partner to our clients is not only our day-to-day goal. We are passionate about delivering the best craft, strategy and music to those who trust us with their briefs. Mateusz has always been a champion in 1:1 delivery. With such a creative lead, our clients are in the best musical hands.”
The role will allow Mateusz Szmigiero to elevate MassiveMusic Warsaw’s current strategy while creating new opportunities to continue to be Poland’s industry benchmark when it comes to music for advertising and sonic identities for brands.
