Finger Music & Sound Design (Finger) has brought on Martin Cloutier as its exclusive representative in Canada.
Based in Montreal, Cloutier has worked in a wide range of fields related to development in the music / entertainment industry, most recently redefining the musical direction of radio channel Espace Musique for crown corporation Radio-Canada/ CBC. Previously, Cloutier consulted for music channels owned by Astral Media, Canada’s largest private broadcaster and headed campaigns for Audiogram; the country’s most important independent record label. Cloutier is the second representative that Finger has appointed in recent months - having just announced the addition of Meredyth Mann as Finger’s exclusive East Coast representative in New York.
Mann and Cloutier are the newest of four Finger representatives and they join Finger during a time of growth. Since Finger was founded in 2002, the company has become increasingly in demand to provide innovative, award-winning music and sound design across the spectrum of commercials, television, film, video games and new media. In response to this demand, partners John Murrell and Dave Hodge have been expanding the company’s, team, roster of exceptional composers & sound designers and offices, now located in London, New York and Los Angeles.
“I've known Marty for about a decade, since my days with Bran Van 3000 when he was a good friend of the band,” says Hodge, who is also Creative Director. “We're very excited to
have him. He’s not only fantastic and well connected but also his knowledge of music is quite vast. Not to mention, we were missing French on Finger's fluent languages list, which now includes Russian, German, Polish, Spanish, Croatian, three dialects of English and French. Quebecois no less!”
