Marianne Stefanowicz Joins Mother as Chief Community and Communications Officer

Highly respected agency communications professional joins the independent agency in a newly created role, writes LBB's Addison Capper

Marianne Stefanowicz, one of advertising’s most experienced communications leaders, has joined Mother in the newly created role of chief community and communications officer. 

Marianne has spent 20 years at some of the industry’s most creative agencies, such as TBWA\Chiat\Day, TBWA Worldwide, Droga5 and most recently TBWA\ Media Arts Lab, Apple’s dedicated agency. At Mother, she will be responsible for internal and external communications across the portfolio of Mother Industries companies. Marianne will report to Peter Ravailhe (CEO) and work closely with Teri Miller (president) and the leadership of both the Mother LA & Mother NY offices. She is based in Los Angeles but will spend time in New York as required.

Last year, as Marianne alluded to, Mother redefined its mission, shifting ‘Make Our Mothers Proud’ to ‘Make Our Children Proud’. According to Mother, Make Our Children Proud is a long term strategic plan to reconfigure the way Mother operates from the studs out: new ways of organising its businesses, new kinds of policies, alternative client partnerships, new ways of investing - all for the sake of creating the kind of company that is most attractive to the next generation of global talent, not the last.  

This mission will be something Marianne will focus on bringing to life within the company and externally. 

With more details on the ‘Community’ aspect of Marianne’s job to come, she will be responsible for building and engaging the most creative and entrepreneurial problem solving communities in the world, featuring Mother alum and friends of the company. Her work will impact Mother’s very foundation and the way the company operates to its core.
