Margret Rumat Rumat Hassan Dreams of Rio in Inspiring Samsung Olympic Film

Today, Samsung and Leo Burnett Chicago unveiled “The Chant” as part of the brand’s global Olympics campaign celebrating stories of defying barriers. 
The film features South Sudanese Olympic hopeful, 19-year-old Margret Rumat Rumat Hassan. The Rio games marks the historic first-ever South Sudan representation at the Olympic Games.
In the spot, Margret is seen putting on a pair of newly released Samsung Gear IconX cord-free earbuds paired with her Samsung Galaxy S7 before walking out to the stadium. Instantly, she is connected to the chanting and cheering of her name by fellow South Sudanese, who are proud to have collectively defied barriers and finally participate meaningfully on the global stage.
