Mamma Team is proud to announce two inspiring documentary projects, shedding light on important stories about women’s resilience and determination. These films capture the voices of women fighting for their rights, their land, and their place in sports.
The first documentary, created in collaboration with Farmamundi and Dret A La Salut and directed by Anna Pla Narbona, weaves together the voices of women from different parts of the world who fight for their land, for environmental protection, and for the Earth—our common home. A testament to resilience, the film highlights their strength and courage in the face of adversity.
Filmed across Guatemala, El Salvador, and Cataluña, this documentary offers a look at the struggles and triumphs of these women, who continue to inspire despite efforts to silence them. More details will be revealed soon.
The second project, LAS YACUMAMMAS, is a short documentary filmed during the Sparta Cup in Igualada, an international inline hockey tournament. In this edition, a group of young female players made history by competing as the only all-female team in a sport where women’s presence remains scarce.
At Mamma Team, they followed their journey, listened to their stories, and explored what drives them to push forward in a sport where games are not divided by gender. Their passion and determination deserve to be seen and recognized.
This piece, directed and edited by LIMITE (Irving Marca & Martin Caballero), aims to give visibility to all the women who continue fighting for their rightful place in sports.
“Sports belong to everyone. Let’s keep working for equality and safe spaces in every field. Thank you for the inspiration, Yacumamma girls!”
