Merman Branded are delighted to welcome established and well-loved producer Luke Goodrum as their new head of production. Luke has worked in the industry for over a decade on some of the most prestigious campaigns such as Formula E, Apple, Google, NHS and The Mayor's Office.
Luke is a self-titled ‘failed director and DOP’ who explored life behind the camera fresh out of college creating several music video and shorts films before reverting to production. He consequently landed at Academy Films where he refined his craft under some of the industry's greats before going freelance. He has since regularly produced for some of the finest directors in the industry such as Marcus Soderlund and Liz Murphy before working with Merman on William Hill’s blockbuster 'Brotherhood' campaign amongst others. His creative mindset and collaborative working approach has allowed him to create quite a name for himself as not only a safe pair of hands, but great fun to work with too.
Luke says of the move, “Ever since I started to produce for Merman I have felt a strong connection with both Spencer and Siobhan. I have a great admiration of how they both operate and what a truly special company Merman is as a result. I’m incredibly proud and excited to be a part of the family now and look forward to making a lot of awesome work together.”
Spencer and Siobhan, managing partner/EPs say, “We’re thrilled to have Luke join us at Merman. Not only does he come with a wealth of experience, a passion for the creative and boundless enthusiasm he's a lovely guy, always with a smile on his face which goes a long way in our books. It’s important to us that we make the most of every opportunity that comes our way and the head of production plays a huge role in that. Luke comes with a great pedigree and has worked together with us as a producer on a number of jobs previously fitting into the Merman environment seamlessly. He’s tried and tested so when the opportunity arose he was the obvious choice for us and I’m pleased to say he felt the same way when we spoke to him.”
