LIGHT welcomes Romain Bouvard, joining as a visual effects supervisor based in the company’s Angouleme studio.

Romain joins LIGHT with over 15 years of experience in the Visual Effects industry across both 2D and 3D disciplines. From 2014, he has worked at DNEG’s Vancouver and Montreal studios, most recently DFX-supervising Moonfall, The Witcher, and the latest instalment in the Fast and Furious series. Previously, Romain also worked across the major markets in France, Australia and the UK, where some of his notable experience included compositing on Inception and The Dark Knight Rises, as well as Marvel Studio’s Captain America and Thor: The Dark World.

Of his new role, Romain notes, “I found LIGHT as a really interesting opportunity to join a studio producing top tier industry work without having to expand to the size, infrastructure and pipeline of a major VFX house. I find LIGHT embracing technological advancements and improvements to continuously push the creative work forward.”

Remarks LIGHT founder Antoine Moulineau, “Having worked alongside Romain at DNEG’s Montreal studio, I find his deep technical understanding and considerable experience in composting makes him an essential addition to our supervisor team. Romain’s presence at LIGHT will allow us to manage an ever-growing crew and continue to sustain the highest quality of work possible.”

“I hope my past industry experience will bring complementary skills to a company with such a talented artist team,” continues Romain. “I wish to support and learn from LIGHT’s artists across every level.”
