LIGHT Grows Its Entity in London and Welcomes Ben Hicks as VFX Supervisor

Ben joins LIGHT with over two decades at leading UK studios and an impressive portfolio that includes Inception, Godzilla, Total Recall, and Mindhunter. With a strong background in compositing he led the team for the critically acclaimed Mank, directed by David Fincher. Ben’s most recent role at Axis Studios saw him contribute to numerous episodic projects for platforms like Amazon Prime, and the BBC, as well as feature films like A Man Called Otto, a project that LIGHT was also proud to be part of.

“This isn’t the first time our paths have crossed”, as Antoine Moulineau, founder of LIGHT and VFX Supervisor noted. They shared a history of collaboration from their time at DNEG London on notable projects like Ron Howard's Rush, John Carter, and Interstellar. LIGHT is excited about the synergy Ben's extensive compositing expertise brings in.

In just four years, LIGHT has rapidly established itself with a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects across VFX and animation, contributing to feature films, episodic, advertising and game cinematics. 

The company has collaborated on high-profile productions such as John Wick 4, Napoleon, The Witcher,  the series of cinematic trailers for Batman: Arkham Shadow, and the last-ever Daft Punk music video. By continuously enhancing its compositing capabilities and refining its craft, LIGHT remains committed to pushing the boundaries of excellence in the industry.
