Since launching in October 2015, mobile marketplace app letgo has amassed 20M monthly active users, 45M downloads and $23B in annual transactions, making it one of the fastest growing technology startups globally. And they just announced an additional $175M in funding. CP+B Miami is continuing the Cannes Film Lion-winning “It’s Really Time to letgo” campaign with three new TV spots this week, all helmed by Hollywood director Craig Gillespie.
The campaign banks on a key consumer insight: People’s obsession with stuff has made them irrationally attached to things they own, but no longer need. The spots showed everyday people driven into absurdly precarious scenarios because of their attachment, ending with the rallying cry of “It’s Really Time to letgo.”
