On Tuesday, we featured new work from Leo Burnett London for Mcdonald's charity Ronald Mcdonald House.
The work, featuring a very cute character named 'Little Box' has received, since then, criticism from the production company, Asylum. They have fairly pointed out that the work is not at all dissimilar to the film that they created for the agency and brand back in March of this year. As such, over the past few days they have launched a rather scathing attack at the agency through social network channels
twitter and facebook and have sent a
letter of complaint to Head of TV, Graeme Light.
In response, Leo Burnett has issued the following statement:
'Every year Leo Burnett makes a low budget film for the RMHC gala dinner. Asylum did a wonderful job with our script and the client was so pleased that they wanted to invest in the script and shoot again for cinema.
Consequently two other production companies pitched for it with our script, without seeing the film that Asylum produced. Our apologies go to Asylum for not informing them that we were talking to other production companies.'
