Production company LEE Films welcomes director Rocío Crudo in its roster.
The young Argentinian director is known for her striking aesthetic and a sensibility impregnated with sheer feminine energy. Her outgoing and adventurous personality are displayed in her work, which is replete with nods to film, art, music, and fashion.
Rocío began her career as a fashion photographer at sixteen. She studied at Fundación Universidad del Cine (FUC) in Buenos Aires, where she directed short films that competed in international film festivals. After directing music videos and fashion films, she started directing commercials and in 2015 she received a Special Mention in the Lions Masters of Creativity at the Cannes Lions Festival. Since then, she has helmed films for brands like Philips, Avon, Dove, L’Oreal, Ford, and Gatorade, among others.
At her signing with LEE Films and upon inclusion in their roster, Rocío said: “I’m happy to be a part of the LEE family. It is one of the production companies in Europe that I respect the most, both for their production level as well as for the aesthetics they create. I believe in this team that we are building, and I admire the colleagues I work with. Get ready!”
Iván Fernández, executive producer at LEE, said: “We are pleased to have Rocío on board at LEE and to add her young talent to our roster of directors.”
Chalo Bonifacino Cooke, head of development at LEE added: “Rocío has a truly powerful freshness and visual language. She will help us continue to build upon the future of the company.”
