Juan Manuel Freire: Le Cube originated as an idea that grew to become a small business. Our outlook since day one has always been multicultural and global. From those earliest days, the studio was seeking to spread its wings, with bases in both Argentina and Brazil. Later we branched out even further, opening our sister company Final Frontier, with eyes set on the Asian market. Not long after came another expansion, when part of the team founded Le Cube’s new headquarters in Madrid, Spain. The family grew and more international markets became our playground.
Gus Karam: So much beautiful animation can be created in a decade. It’s been so cool to see from an evolutionary point of view, how what you started in 2010 has changed so much by 2020. I mean, we ourselves have physically changed fundamentally in this period, we’re almost a whole new human being - how could the work stay the same? It’s such an incredible moment for Le Cube to reach the ten-year mark, with a brand- new reel that showcases in grand style, color, and motion what the studio has become through its experiences: a powerhouse in a variety of styles, but also the home to an overachieving team of creatives, artists, producers, and animators.
Ralph Karam: As an amalgamation of all the work, inspirations and experiences gathered in this extremely fun, but of course challenging, decade, Le Cube is proud to present its new reel. It’s a rock’n’roll punch delivered with the high energy coolness that the studio seeks to inject in every project and idea. Bold approaches and colors, fluid motion, sharp lines, and diverse, vibrant characters; our intention with the reel is to serve a feast for the eyes, summing up a decade of growth and maturity, infused with the eternal child-like wonder that inspires us to keep pushing the envelope.
