Laconic is a talent management agency, but even more a representative agency that brings together all innovative post-production artists: editor, colourist, motion graphic designer, 3D, VFX, digital artist and many others.
It is the first and only in Italy and among the few in the world, born from the union of an idea and a need.
An intuition, that of Arianna and Alice, who embraced the desire to be able to enhance the artists to manage the projects, allowing them to be able to really focus on their professional task.
Origins
The idea took shape in 2019, from the experience of Arianna as producer of the collective The 6 Tailors, known for being among the most talented advertising editors in Italy. From this came the idea of an agency that could not only represent artists, but also be a guide in the intricate world of post-production.
The need wasn’t only to represent talents, but also a desire, the desire to be a beacon for freelancers immersed in a complex and often poorly known sector. And here seeing each other long, anticipating a request that would gradually increase, made a difference.
Laconic is in fact an interface to the post-production world, which inserts into the workflow the post talent that best works with the specific requirements of the project and the customer.
The challenges of Post Production
The post production is a universe in itself, with unique challenges related to each individual project. It’s here that Laconic plays a crucial role in the fabric of its sector. With a selected roaster of talents, the agency doesn’t simply offer a list of names, but creates the perfect match between the project and the artist. Each selection is not just a choice, it’s about finding the right key to untie the cruxes of production, bringing a new level of understanding and vision to the world of post-production.
On the other hand, one of the difficulties to overcome was to be understood. Being two young girls who decided to give life to the first company in Italy that dealt with management in the post-production area required a lot of work on reliability. Therefore, being part of a well-established system that has always operated independently has not been easy, but the desire to bring about change, or at least an improvement, is allowing the agency, in its small way, to make a difference.
In a field where collaboration and synergy between creative and technical talent are essential Laconic is not only an intermediary but an ally who is constantly dedicated to the search for the 'perfect match' between project and talent, holding on to its roots and surrounding itself with people who share the same vision.
