Creative agency INNOCEAN Berlin celebrates Kia’s ongoing move into the world of electrification with a campaign that not only strengthens the Niro’s strong legacy, but also reinforces the brand's message: everything Kia does should inspire people and help bring their ideas to life.
To highlight the Niro as the family of models that has always been able to package new technology in the right ways for its customers, the ‘Make way for wonderful’ campaign was launched with two films that use emotional storytelling, proving how EV technology and advanced features in the Niro can inspire more wonderful moments in peoples' lives.
Directed by Marcus Söderlund and produced by Iconoclast, each story focuses on one of the Niro’s advanced features. In ‘Message’, thanks to the Niro EV’s electric battery the car's Vehicle-to-Device feature enables the campaign’s protagonist to make a grand gesture for his departing girlfriend. In ‘Graduation’, we follow the protagonist once again as he is running late for a graduation ceremony. Thanks to Remote Smart Parking Assist he manages to make it on time.
Along with the main films, INNOCEAN Berlin extended the campaign to social media, which was shared across Europe on multiple platforms. Short videos, social posts, stories and reels were thoroughly tailored to further move audiences online.
David Hilbert, marketing director for Kia Europe stated: “With this campaign we continue to prove to the world that Kia takes its philosophy seriously. To keep on inspiring people and bringing their ideas to life. Our advanced features like Vehicle-to-Device enable people to use their Kia in new and unexpected ways and with a wide choice of powertrains, including Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Fully Electric, we ensure that the Niro family is for everyone.”
Gabriel Mattar, European CCO Innocean Berlin added, “We wanted ‘Make way for wonderful’ to be more than just a campaign claim but more of a promise that will be delivered by the Kia Niro family. This inspiring blend of EV models and smart technology give you all the tools to make life easier and filled with more wonderful moments.’
