Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Dinosaur

New work from Leo Burnett London

A new campaign for Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut breaks on 8th October. Titled ‘Dinosaur’, this is the second commercial from the recently revitalised “The trouble is they taste too good” campaign.  The ad launches a new variant of Kellogg’s celebrated breakfast cereal – Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut with Cranberries, Almonds, and yogurty flakes.   The 40 second TV advertisement, created by Leo Burnett London, will air on national TV and in cinema simultaneously.

Following on from 'Snake', this commercial once again tells the story of the trouble that can occur as a consequence of Crunchy Nut’s irresistibile taste.  The ad follows two petrified men on the run from a terrifying and hungry dinosaur, who eventually finds their hiding place in an industrial kitchen. As the huge raptor, straight out of a Hollywood set, crashes about hunting out its ‘dinner’, our heroes look on anxiously, fearing for their lives. When all seems to be safe once again, one man turns to his mate and says, 'Whatever you do, don't make a sound'.  But Crunchy Nut proves too irresistible, with the ensuing audible crunch ruining the day.

Directed by the Rocky Morton of MJZ (the Cannes Production Company of the Year), the ads were written and art directed by Ed Morris & Andy Drugan.  ECD & Creative Director: Justin Tindall.
