In their first work since being appointed as lead agency by Suzuki, Iris have created a new series of idents for Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox.
The idents see two people sitting on a park bench talking about the Suzuki Swift as if they were sitting in their living rooms discussing TV. The series is a continuation of the concept created by Iris for February’s series of Gogglebox. Except this time, mirroring the celebrity version of the show, the spots star two well-known celebrities – Joey Essex and Debbie McGee.
The series of 15, 10 and 5 second spots see the campaign line evolve to match the idea 'Suzuki. Making life more fun with Celebrity Gogglebox' as we see Joey and Debbie playfully highlight features of the Swift in the style of Gogglebox stars.
Megan Norton, partnerships manager at Suzuki, said: “The Gogglebox audience is the perfect fit for the Swift. As the first series performed so well it made complete sense to continue the campaign, this time with a little added glamour.”
In addition to the spots running on TV, Iris have created content to run across social channels, with Joey and Debbie playing off different sporting and cultural events during the show.
“Joey and Debbie are a formidable partnership,” said Iris London ECD David Prideaux “They’re very funny and the perfect foil for Suzuki’s partnership with Gogglebox”.
The idents will air Friday 14th June on Channel 4 at 9pm. There are 8 idents in total. 7 Stars are handling the media.
