Young director Joan Bosch, based in Madrid and Barcelona shows his poetic visualisation in his newest film 'Diary of Hidden Bodies'. This project explores the desire to become pure matter - just a boy without a sense of self or soul.
The film was selected for the Shiny Awards showcase held at AMV on the 14th January celebrating emerging talent, where LBB'S very own Laura Swinton was on the panel.
The experimental short is commissioned for the inaugural issues of Bound magazine. Joan aims to reveal how working without a screenplay enabled here the creation of a sparkling film: "when I finally arrived in the editing room everything flowed and worked well as if it were perfectly written somewhere.
Bound Magazine asked him to create a film about the concept of 'Humanoid'. "Bound is a magazine about object and material and this first issue is about art-work around the body all along art history. So the brief was kind of wide-open for me (and that was great!)" declares Joan.
"I wanted this film to talk for itself, not to be an explicit 'manifest', but a sensory trip through the experience of just a body without a sense of self or soul".
