Acclaimed comedy and drama director Jennifer Sheridan has signed with Common People Films for commercial representation in the UK, following their collaboration on a recent star-studded national cinema advertising campaign for BAFTA, celebrating the art of storytelling to promote Bafta’s video game awards.
A dynamic and versatile filmmaker, Jenifer brings a rich background in both comedy and drama, with a flair for high-concept storytelling and emotionally resonant character work.
She first caught Common People’s attention with the hilarious Disney+ and Hulu superhero comedy Extraordinary, directing two critically acclaimed seasons of the series. Extraordinary received a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and earned multiple accolades, including a Broadcast Digital Award, a Royal Television Society Award, and a BAFTA nomination for Best Scripted Comedy. The fast-paced, action-fuelled, laugh-out-loud series translates seamlessly into the world of commercial storytelling. Through bold, character-driven narratives, the series delivers stories bursting with heart and humour.
Jennifer’s directorial credits span a wide range of genres. Her debut feature, Rose – A Love Story, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, earned four BIFA longlist nominations, and won Best Feature at the Barnes Film Festival, cementing her status as a bold new voice in British cinema. She recently wrapped production on Season 2 of Malpractice (ITV/World Productions).
Commercially, Jennifer has directed brilliant Ads for brands including LinkedIn, Sky, Haig Club, and most recently, BAFTA.
