Rick Lamb, the UK managing director of Jellyfish since 2019, has announced he will be leaving for a new role at THG.
Nick Fettiplace, chief solutions officer for earned media at Jellyfish, will be stepping up as Lamb’s replacement after more than 12 years at the company.
Speaking about his new role, Nick said, “My goal is to support our national, regional and global commercial ambitions, while also reiterating our sense of culture, identity and heritage, specifically within the UK market.”
“As we move forward, my focus will be on continuous innovation to exceed client needs and challenges by enhancing the value, capabilities, technology, and generative AI integrations we provide to UK brands.
“I'll ensure we invest more aggressively in both new and existing UK partnerships that have been crucial to our past and will be vital to our future. Additionally, we'll actively engage in industry initiatives and events that improve our people, workplace and community.”
Nick joined Jellyfish through its acquisition of creative branding and marketing shop Weedoo Media, which he founded with Jellyfish chief operating officer Edward Ball in 2009.
Rick joined Jellyfish in April 2019 following its acquisition of Latitude, where he was director.
Initially appointed as regional director of Jellyfish, Rick was promoted to MD UK at the end of 2019.
He will join THG, which acquired City AM in July 2023, later this year as partnerships director. He will be responsible for developing alliances across the online retailer’s marketing capability, particularly within its proprietary ecommerce division, Ingenuity.
Emery said Rick would be a "a tough act to follow". He said, “We will all miss Rick. He is a lovely, caring, brilliant person. I have loved working with him and am very grateful for everything he has done for us.”
