Jeff Dunlap joins Kingsday today to lead the growing
agency’s international accounts. Dunlap will also focus on the new digital and
social account for Nissan’s UEFA Champions League partnership.
Jeff Dunlap has previously worked with Kingsday founders Sander Volten, Sicco Beerda, Bram de Rooij and Eric Ytsma at Havas Worldwide, where he was Global Business Director (with a focus on digital) on Volvo Cars. During his tenure on Volvo, from 2007 to 2014, he led the development of 360 marketing communications from strategy, planning and briefing through to delivery and roll-out across 60+ markets. Most recently Dunlap was Head of Campaign Development at Staples, the world’s second largest online retailer, where he led a team of 15 people within the office supply giant’s internal marketing agency.
Dunlap is a true digital native, partly due to his background as a coder and a programmer. He has worked at agencies such as iCrossing, Arnold and Euro RSCG 4D on brands such as Volvo, Volkswagen Canada, Blue Cross of California, JP Morgan Chase, Kraft, Toyota North America, Lexus and Mazda.
His experience in automotive will be useful for Kingsday’s newest account: digital and social activations around Nissan’s global UEFA Champions League partnership. This account includes strategy, creative and content around Nissan’s four-year deal with the UEFA Champions League. Dunlap’s immediate task is leading the digital and social campaign for the UCL finals on June 6th 2015 and beyond for activities in 2016.
Dunlap is an American from the Boston area who has spent the last eight years in the Netherlands. His new job title is International Business Director and he reports to Kingsday’s Managing Director, Sander Volten.
Sander Volten, Managing Director at Kingsday: “We are raising the bar by hiring Jeff Dunlap. As a young but fast-growing agency with a huge new piece of business to work on, you’re only as good as your people - talent is essential. We don’t define talent only in terms of creative, but across the board. Jeff brings a huge amount of experience and professionalism plus the safest hands in the industry.”
