Iris Van Herpen ‘Voltage’

Geoffrey Lillemon (represented by Random Studio) and Joost Korngold directs a trailer for Dutch designer Iris van Herpen’s new couture collection spring-summer 2013 called “Voltage”, presented on January 21 at the Paris Fashion Week. 

 

The film reflects an experimental approach to fashion beyond the actual borders to speak of dreams and science. The idea was to represent the collection through a ghost of electricity or apparition made of strings and harps that is haunting the halls of a grand palace. The concept was done by making all the environments of the same fragile reflective glass material. 

 

Then Breek stepped in to give the shapes life by adding intricate sound design to articulate them as instruments. The final piece was a celebration of various different disciplines and ideas brought into one beautiful experience.
