Iris Worldwide, the global creative network, has today announced the appointment of Andrew Silver as managing director of its Boston office, effective immediately. Andrew will also head up the CRM, data and technology practice across Iris Americas, further strengthening Iris' US leadership team following the appointment of Jill Smith to CEO, Americas and Eduardo Maruri, the former Grey LATAM & Europe president and CEO, being named global creative chair.
In his dual role, Andrew will oversee the Boston office, with his remit including cross-selling Iris' full-service offering and specialist capabilities, which span social, data and performance, and healthcare. Iris works with a range of clients from its Boston office, including Samsung, IKEA, Daimler Trucks, and Beiersdorf among others. Notably, Iris has been instrumental in building IKEA's loyalty program and improving customer engagement.
Prior to joining Iris, Andrew spent 13 years as managing director at marketing agency Huge, which specialises in digital products and innovation. There, he developed key client partnerships, drove new business development, and led the transition to a global model by opening new offices in untapped markets. Before that, he served as the chief operating officer at Omnigon Communications, where he led all facets of operations for the creative technology firm.
"With Iris' focus on integrating creativity, data-driven media, and the power of people, we are uniquely positioned to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Andrew's extensive experience and innovative approach make him the perfect leader for our Boston office and CRM, Data & Technology practice across the Americas,” said Jill Smith, CEO Americas, Iris Worldwide. “His appointment underscores our commitment to driving exceptional results and fostering growth for our clients. We are thrilled to have him on board as we continue to leverage our full-service capabilities to create impactful cultural moments and embed brands in people's lives."
Andrew commented, “Iris has impressive growth potential in the Americas and the capabilities of the Boston team are key drivers for any successful marketing initiative. I’m excited to lead the CRM, data and technology team, and accelerate growth for our client partners across Iris Americas.”
Andrew's appointment follows a period of significant growth for Iris, marked by a raft of new business wins that have included Monkey Shoulder Whiskey (William Grant & Sons), Scout Electric Vehicles (VW), Fage Total Greek Yogurts, and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP). Iris has focused on establishing itself as ‘The Participation Agency’ on a global scale as it continues to build on its strong foundations leveraging creativity, data-driven media, and the power of people to create cultural moments and embed brands in people's lives.
Andrew will report to Jill Smith, CEO Americas, and work closely with Simon Speyer, CEO data driven and performance marketing, to ensure a cohesive and impactful approach across the regions.
