INNOCEAN (global CEO William Lee) has announced that its German subsidiary has been ranked No.1 in the country and No.2 in Europe in the latest Creative Agency Rankings released by Little Black Book (LBB).
The ranking, based on the results of the Immortal Awards organised by LBB since 2018, evaluates creative agencies worldwide each year. The Immortal Awards have rapidly emerged as a key player among international advertising festivals, assessing entries based on creativity and effectiveness, campaign quality, social and cultural impact, and messaging power.
INNOCEAN Berlin secured the top spot in Germany thanks to its awards-winning campaign 'The First Speech' created in collaboration with Reporters Without Borders. The campaign also earned the agency a strong second-place position across all of Europe.
Delivering a powerful public message with the tagline 'Trust the free press. Not pretty words.' the campaign was praised for its effective communication of support for independent journalism. With cinematic direction and emotional depth, it left a lasting impression on viewers, reminding them of the value of press freedom and human rights.
Last year, the campaign also received the prestigious Grand Prix for Good at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the world’s largest and most renowned advertising event. In addition, it garnered top honours at other global award shows, including the New York Festivals and the London International Awards (LIA), further proving INNOCEAN’s creative excellence on the global stage.
With this recognition, INNOCEAN continues to strengthen its position in Europe by delivering bold and differentiated creative work. The European advertising market, known as the 'home of creativity,' boasts a long and rich history, dating back to the 1920s when automobile advertising began in the region.
Since establishing its European headquarters in 2007, INNOCEAN has been steadily expanding its global creative footprint as a Korea-based company. Currently, INNOCEAN works with a wide range of clients, including affiliates of Hyundai Motor Group, developing original and impactful campaigns that continue to solidify its presence in the European market. Industry experts anticipate the agency will achieve even greater growth, standing shoulder to shoulder with leading global players.
Wililam stated, “We’re extremely proud that our Berlin office, which has consistently delivered impactful public-interest messages through unique creativity, has achieved such a high ranking. We will continue to share meaningful messages that reflect INNOCEAN’s creative philosophy, grounded in deep social and cultural insight.”
