M&C Saatchi look at what could have been for scotch whisky brand

Edward Housden and Indy8 have recently finished these two new films for Ballantine’s Whisky. Ballantine’s mantra is to Stay True… But what if it hadn’t stayed true? What if instead, Ballantine’s had abandoned its founder’s vision and values? ‘The Could-Be-True Story of Ballantine’s’ explores this alarming possibility in an unexpected and humorous journey through a world of fictional products, including Ballantine’s Finest Pickled Eggs (aged 10 years) and QR-code bottles, with a dose of dubstep thrown in for good measure.

Complementing the tongue-in-cheek ‘Could-Be-True Story’, a separate film called ‘The Stay True Story of Ballantine’s’ also launched, recounting Ballantine’s real history and the ways the brand has in fact stayed true since its creation in 1827. And thank heavens for that!
