Atrium is the oldest shopping mall in Moscow. In 2012 they celebrated their 10th anniversary and came to Moscow-based SLAVA with a simple brief – create a film showing that Atrium was and remains the epicenter of all Moscow trends.
So the end result is a nostalgic and insightful journey through the history of Moscow trends which appeared and disappeared in those 10 years told by their best witness – Atrium itself.
Paul Geusebroek from Amsterdam was chosen to direct this epic spot, who has already done work for brands such as Nike, Meltin'Pot and Diesel, despite his young talent status.
Interestingly enough, at early pre-production stages it became apparent that Moscow's trends and the script clearly translates to the European viewpoint. The only scene that raised questions from Paul was the Comedy Club scene, and Paul ended up playing the stand-up comedian himself.
Three sleepless nights and a few weeks of post in the director's hometown later - and here is the result, the international version: http://www.hypepro.tv/work#Atrium
