HERO/McCann Australia has emerged as the top ranked Australian agency at this year’s New York Festivals, winning two Gold medals for Maybelline New York’s campaign, ‘Through Their Eyes’, and a Silver for Maybelline New York’s ‘Under the Avatar’.
Maybelline New York’s ‘Through Their Eyes’, continues its winning run, having been awarded the brand’s first ever Cannes Lion last year (a Silver), taking home two Golds for the following categories:
- Future Now – Best Use: Gaming
- Purpose: Mental Health
The follow-up campaign for Maybelline New York, ‘Under the Avatar’, was awarded a Silver in the category of Social/Environmental Good: Brand.
Ben Lilley, founder and creative chairman, HERO/McCann Australia commented, “To win just one Gold at the New York Festivals is pretty special. To win two though is a real honour and we are incredibly grateful for the global recognition our ‘Through Their Eyes’ campaign for Maybelline New York continues to achieve since it won its first Cannes Lion last Year. We’re also ecstatic to have won a Silver for this year’s follow-up ‘Under The Avatar campaign’. It’s a true credit to Maybelline New York and the vital work they’re doing to change the game when it comes to online harassment and abuse of female-identifying gamers.”
Valerie Madon, chief creative officer, McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific said, “Congratulations to our teams who consistently push the boundaries for our clients like L'Oreal’s Maybelline. Truth Well Told is our way of helping to build enduring brand platforms every day."
