Cause+Effect has announced that it has brought Hernan Bornas on board as senior editor.
Jason Zemlicka, Co-Founder and Executive Producer, says, " We've been searching for some time for an editor who is not only a creative powerhouse, but also a leader. We're fortunate to have found that in Hernan, and we look forward to him carrying our editorial team forward."
Bornas began his career as a writer/director, but found himself naturally gravitating toward editing. He has since gained over 15 years of experience in the industry, building an advanced skillset working on film and television, on-air promotion, sizzles, integrated marketing, as well as digital and print campaigns.
Born and raised in Argentina and Australia, Bornas earned his degree in film and television from Melbourne University. Shortly after moving to NYC in 2005, Bornas began his long-running relationship with Viacom, editing for MTV and Nick at Nite. Before joining C+E, Bornas was the Managing Video Editor at TVLand, where he helped strategize the network's branding shift from classic television to original programming.
Anthony Gelsomino, C+E's Creative Director, adds, "Hernan stands out with his knack for precise storytelling, excellent timing, and command of the messages his work needs to convey. Combine all that with a great personality and work ethic and it was clear that he was a perfect fit for our team."
