Sean Patrick Kelly has been named Head of Production at Cause and Effect, according to partner and Executive Producer Jason Zemlicka.
As Head of Production, Sean will oversee the production of all live-action ad campaigns, continue to build client and agency relations and write and direct creative projects. Sean advances to this role from supervising producer, a position he’s held since 2014. He was integral to the production of over 100 commercials and campaigns for clients such as MTV, Nickelodeon, IFC, Hulu, and NBC. Sean will continue to report directly to Jason Zemlicka and Partner/ Executive Creative Director Jamie Hubbard.
Zemlicka says, “Sean’s strategic leadership, collaborative spirit and extensive production experience make him especially qualified to lead this department. His proven track-record in tackling production challenges and his contributions to C+E’s body of work, as a producer and creative, make him a valuable asset to our team.”

Kelly joined
Cause and Effect in 2012 as a line producer, having previously worked as producer and production manager for a variety of studios including Good Great Grand and Bunker. With a background in producing, writing, and directing live-action, commercials, and branded-content, Sean has received top industry accolades such as a Clio’s Sports Gold, Promax Gold, Silver Cannes Lion, and an honorary Webby.

Sean&Steve, a creative partnership he shares with Steve Figueiredo, also a producer at C+E. The team write and direct narrative comedy projects and digital shorts. Most recently, they directed C+E’s digital campaigns for
Hulu and Johnson & Johnson, as well as a national brand tie-in for
IFC and Geico.
