Happy Finish Names Simon Gosling as CEO

Happy Finish appoints Exec Producer Simon Gosling as new CEO to expand Interactive, Motion & VFX offerings.

Creative production studio Happy Finish has appointed Simon Gosling, former Executive Producer at Framestore, as their new CEO. 

 

This move precedes former CEO and company founder Stuart Waplington taking position as Global Chairman, overseeing international operations & strategy. 

 

Simon, previously responsible for business strategy and global business development at Framestore, has post produced & VFX supervised commercials for leading global brands including Proctor & Gamble, Unilever, Kraft, Kelloggs, Mars, Barclays, Mercedes, Coca-Cola and Nike. Prior to Framestore, Simon was Managing Director at world leading editing house, Cut+Run.

 

On his move, Gosling comments, "Happy Finish has a long standing reputation for excellence in high-end stills retouching and cgi. In recent months the company has taken that premium level of creativity cross-platform, into Motion and Interactive projects. It's now able to offer clients a complete 360-degree service with innovative, creative solutions. It's a very exciting time to become part of this talented team and spearhead the company's future development and expansion".

 

Simon is well known on the global festival circuits, where he has given held workshops and given presentations on a variety of subjects, including, Real-Time Animation, 2nd Screen Experiences, Characters in Advertising and Cloud Based Gaming, at major industry events including D&AD, Ciclope, Cristal, CCSP Brazil and TED. Following his recent visit to Silicon Valley, as part of the APA Trade Mission, he was invited by The APA to present at Bafta, as part of their Future of Advertising 2013 event. He has also lectured on Post Production for the APA and IPA Masterclasses for the past 12 years.

Simon will be making his first appearance as CEO for Happy Finish at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2013.
