GUT has launched an awareness campaign with Lyft in partnership with several LGBTQ+ artists for International Pronouns Day. Each artist created license plates featuring custom art and the artists' personal pronouns, as the 'Pronoun Plates' designs reflect the artists’ relationships with their own pronouns.
The Pronoun Plates with original artwork are currently up for auction through Charitybuzz to support Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE). Lyft will also donate $100,000 equally to these two organisations in celebration of International Pronoun Day, to build on Lyft ride grants alongside HRC's Transgender Justice Initiative to twenty community based organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community, with a focus on trans women of colour.
The campaign includes short films with a few of the artists discussing their designs and telling their own stories.
