This entertaining, action-packed 30-second film follows one woman’s race to get to her favourite ‘plant-based protein’, after she finds out her Beanz have been substituted in her grocery delivery.
Directed by Emmy-nominated Tom Marshall (Ted Lasso, Space Force), the pacey film embarks on a comedic journey through the protagonist’s neighbourhood. Bursting through homes and garden fences, with a signature superhero landing, the commercial celebrates one of Britain’s favourite foods and reinforces the notion that nothing will ever beat Heinz Beanz.
An energetic, characterful edit and a good sprinkling of humour compliments the action-based narrative, culminating in a comedic cameo, as the new endline lands: Beanz Meanz More.
GPS editor, Joe McNally, said: ‘This is the first time I had worked with Tom Marshall and the collaboration was simply brilliant. The creative process of crafting the film with him and the agency was wonderful. The narrative allowed us to have a lot of fun with the edit, to bring an energy and humour to the film that felt worthy of such an iconic brand’.
GPS sound designer, Sam Cross, said: “The challenge with this spot was to add both drama and humour without venturing into slapstick territory. And Joe’s edit meant we got to have a lot of fun bringing these elements together, finding the right balance while incorporating a nod to some classic Britflicks and superhero epics.”
