Director Tom Rainsford unveils an increasingly dystopian journey of intensely vivid images associated with fear and a feeling of being lost, creating a sense of heightened reality as Lucy tries to navigate an endless claustrophobic corridor.
Abi Pearl Ward-Head of Advertising stated: "This is our fifth year supporting Halloween with a film. And this year we've gone bigger, bolder and longer. We love Halloween, we follow loads of Horror and Halloween folks. We saw a study that said the top things people did in Halloween 2016 were to watch a scary film, dress up, and go to a Halloween party. Halloween costumes and Makeup play such a massive role when people are getting ready and having a big Halloween night out. We wanted to play with that, in a modern horror way, with our own twist making this film feel bang on trend. “
What lies beyond is a shock, and hands a choice to Lucy which cleverly resonates with giffgaff's core proposition and message. This film showcases giffgaff’s continued passion for Halloween by delivering an entertainingly disruptive piece of communication which extols their familiar “Free to Stay Free to Go” message with a fresh and freaky twist. The film authentically embraces the current trends for Halloween, and Club Culture, with re-recorded versions of Rockwell's 1984 hit "Somebody’s Watching Me" proving the pulsating soundtrack, in different ways throughout the piece. It's a slice of playful bizarre Halloween fun, with a few scares and a kooky ending. As ever the film is playful, bizarre and a little crazy, just like Halloween and every decent night out.
The main content film launches at 1pm today. The 6O sec teaser launched on Friday 13th and has already hit. There is also a ton of Halloween content going across Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter amongst others.
