At the 2017 PMAA Dragons of Asia, Geometry Global was named Network of the Year while collecting four Gold, three Silver and three Bronze.
The agency also won Best Campaigns by Country for Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and New Zealand. PMAA Dragons of Asia is the platform for the recognition of the best of the best in “results-driven” marketing communications across Asia Pacific and the award ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last night. This is the second year the Network of the Year Award has been included in the Dragons program and the second consecutive year that Geometry Global has been crowned the Network of the Year.
Of the Gold winning campaigns, Geometry Global New Zealand’s Steinlager Tokyo Dry campaign generated particularly positive responses from the panel as being an example of how marketing communications execution can work across tradition and technology. On the other hand, Geometry Global Malaysia’s Mamee Monster Biskidz won double Category Gold in the Dragons of Malaysia for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign and Best Product Launch or Re-launch Campaign and a Blue Dragon for Best Campaign in the Dragons of Asia. Among all Malaysian agencies participated in the event, Geometry Global Malaysia scored the highest marketing communications industry ranking.
On the creativity front, Geometry Global across Asia Pacific is led by regional ECD Daniel Comar who said “I am thrilled to see not just one or two offices succeed but many different markets, cultures and type of work. It shows the depth and breadth of our network in Asia.”
According to Mike Da Silva, Director of the PMAA Dragons of Asia, the 2017 Dragons of Asia attracted a higher and wider range of entries, across all marketing disciplines and networks, than ever before. This year too, saw a very high number of close scoring campaigns, and many more, with focus on measurable results.
