The One Screen win comes almost exactly a year from the action-packed film’s initial release and 15 years after the original BMW Film “The Hire” won Best of Show at The One Club in 2002. Widely regarded as a milestone in the history of branded film, in 2010, the BMW Films series was also honoured by The One Club as Best of the Digital Decade.
“This honour brings it all full circle,” says Bildsten, “Especially coming from The One Club, the creative organization our industry most admires. Brian, David and I were honoured that BMW trusted us to create the sequel to such iconic, ground-breaking work.”
“We are incredibly honoured to have ‘The Escape’ receive Best of Show from the premier festival that unites the film and advertising worlds,” says Eric Stern, Managing Director and Partner of Anonymous Content. “This recognition truly speaks to the power of our collaboration, as well as our partners’ ability to produce narrative-first branded content.”
“The Escape” also stars Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds, I am Sam), Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, Daredevil) and Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (The Departed, Up in the Air).
