Gabrielle will work across a variety of Bindery clients

NYC-based Bindery announced today that Gabrielle Woodland has officially joined the film and branded content studio’s roster of directors. Gabrielle will work across a variety of Bindery clients to create enduring stories at the intersection of Human+Interest.

“Gabby’s work has that beautiful pairing of journalism and cinema – equal parts raw and crafted,” said Greg Beauchamp, founder of Bindery. “We’ve admired her work in the music video and film spaces, and we’re excited to help bring her vision to brand storytelling as well.”

Gabrielle’s connection to Bindery goes back to 2020 when she was freelancing in Nashville, TN. After collaborating on a few projects, Bindery hired Woodland as co-director of the documentary short, 'Out North,' created for Fiverr. The film went on to be honoured at last year’s Brand Film Awards and was selected as one of the Best of Branded at Vimeo’s Staff Pick Awards 2021. Gabrielle joined the creative team at Bindery in 2021 and has since had the opportunity to hone her directing skills even further. Most recently, Woodland directed the first episode of 'Black & Unlimited,' a new online series for Walmart that celebrates changemakers who are creating new chapters in Black History.

“I was drawn to Bindery because everyone who works here is dedicated to authentic brand storytelling, and always with an eye toward filmic imagery,” said Gabrielle. “I share that passion for crafting genuine stories that are able to break down the stereotypical walls that we tend to put up as humans. In the months ahead, I’m looking forward to building my craft as a director and photographer to really create a voice and style that is my own and that resonates with viewers.”

Gabrielle hails from the Nashville and Atlanta areas, and is currently based in Brooklyn. She began her directing career with the music video 'Better Than We Found It' for Maren Morris, which was nominated for Music Video of the Year by the Academy of Country Music Awards and CMA Awards.
