Jeff, former CEO at Wunderman Thompson Canada, succeeds founders and co-CEOs Mark Homza and Philippe Leblanc in driving the North American branding and advertising agency

Today, North American branding and advertising agency Funday, announced Jeff Dack, most recently the CEO at Wunderman Thompson Canada (WPP), as the company’s new chief executive officer. Funday is a full-service and exclusively remote agency that believes there’s always fun to be had. Jeff will be succeeding founders and co-CEOs Mark Homza and Philippe Leblanc, who maintain their positions on the board of directors while they pursue building out new ventures within the Funday ecosystem of companies. Jeff joins Jared Folkmann, Alex Baghdjian, January Kohli and Kathryn Whiteside as day-to-day operating lead in the business. In addition to becoming Funday’s new CEO, Jeff has become a partner and shareholder in the business.

"When I first met Mark and Phil, I knew they were on to something special,” said Jeff Dack, newly appointed CEO at Funday. “Then, I started speaking with Jared and Alex, and diving into the quality of the work, the group’s current growth trajectory, their unique digital-first/remote culture, and that’s when I really knew this was the team for me. I felt like I finally found what I was looking for; an independent agency with an ambition and spirit, whose values are aligned with my own.”

Jeff joins Funday with an impressive track record, bringing over two decades of experience in agency management, most recently with Wunderman Thompson Canada, where he successfully merged three business units (JWT, Wunderman and Mirum) into a full-service CX agency featuring creative, strategy, CRM, data, and technology services, for parent company WPP. Prior, Jeff was CEO of Carat Canada, Dentsu’s media business, and grew it to a hair shy of the largest in Canada. More broadly, Jeff has a unique background, having progressed from an agency creative, to a strategist, CPG marketer, then agency operator. He is uniquely qualified to consult with clients across all categories, promote marketing services, and scale agencies.

As CEO, Jeff's priority will be to continue building on Funday's four-year success story, doubling down on four key focus areas: Funday’s clients, work product, growth, and culture. Jeff's key role will be to evangelize the full-service organization’s unique story as a trailblazer within the North American agency space. Operating fully remotely, with an unmatched culture, Funday offers marketers throughout North America big agency talent with boutique vibes and tremendous value. Jeff looks forward to expanding Funday’s capabilities, clients and talent base, to ensure the organization can capitalize on growth opportunities across untapped verticals.

“Since 2019, we have been laser focused on ensuring our company and the services we offer are the most fun part of our client’s day,” said Mark Homza, co-founder and former co-CEO, Funday Agency. “We have cultivated and created a culture here that is undeniable, but our superpower as entrepreneurs is to go from zero to one. Clearly, we’re at that point today, so the time has come to hand the reigns of Funday over to our new leader in Jeff. Phil and I couldn’t be prouder or more excited to take this next giant step. We see it benefitting our clients and team tremendously.”
