Friday Tunes: Floaty Friday Beats

Jungle sound engineer Lawrence Kendrick is embracing his inner music geek with today's playlist with a collection of atmospheric electronica. Perfect stuff if you're feeling a bit spaced out after a big Christmas party...

"One of the things I love about engineering at Jungle is being able to share and discover music with the other enthusiastic Jungle audio nerds and our friends in and around Soho. I love finding new recommendations in my Spotify inbox! Those recommendations and my love of electronic, moody beats have helped shape this playlist.

I genuinely love every track on this list and I hope they ease you into the weekend with a mix of ambient relaxing beats and heavier foot tappers. The playlist kicks off with some minimal techno, something that’s grown on me over the past few years. The clean, clever sound design in these tracks keeps your ear guessing and I find myself trying to figure out how each glitch and effect was created in the studio. Other than the occasional change of pace (Jon Hopkins), the tracks evolve into busier, thicker tunes and will hopefully kick your arse into gear for the weekend!
